COMMIT TO THRIVE
Lauren Phipps, CFRE

Connector, Storyteller, Fundraiser, and Social Justice Warrior
Lauren Phipps is a connector, storyteller, fundraiser, and social justice warrior. She has committed most of her philanthropy and fundraising experience to build relationships that partner opportunities with resources to create positive change and impact in our communities.
After working several years in New York City’s non-profit sector, including the ACLU of New York and the Robin Hood Foundation, in 2013, Lauren moved to “The Big Easy” to join Tulane University’s School of Liberal Arts as a Major Gifts Officer and then as their Director of Development. At Ochsner Health System, Lauren oversaw philanthropic activities throughout Ochsner’s Centers of Excellence, including their life-saving Multi-Organ Transplant Institute. In her most recent role at The Obama Foundation, she leads regional fundraising efforts in the South and Mid-Atlantic to support the organization’s mission to inspire, empower, and connect people to change their world.
Lauren is passionate about serving alongside the communities where she lives and works and is excited about continued economic development and social change in New Orleans and beyond. She fervently believes that social and racial justice, health equity, and equal access to education and resources will fuel the movement of marginalized communities’ abilities to realize and define their power.
Lauren also loves to take full advantage of the City of New Orleans with her husband Greg, their funny, vivacious nine-year-old daughter Stella, and four-year-old Simone, who often defies description.
