Sr. Vice President & Chief Operating Officer/Baptist Community Ministries

Christy Ross is a seasoned healthcare and nonprofit executive with more than 20 years of experience spanning direct healthcare, behavioral health, and public health. A distinguished career dedicated to improving community health and wellbeing, Christy has served in leadership roles that bridge healthcare delivery, education, and philanthropy.

 

Currently, Christy serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Baptist Community Ministries, one of the Greater New Orleans region’s largest philanthropic organizations, where she helps guide strategic operations and community impact initiatives.

 

In addition to executive leadership, Christy has contributed to higher education through previous adjunct faculty appointments at Dillard University and Tulane University, helping to prepare and mentor future healthcare and public health professionals.

 

An active civic and nonprofit leader, Christy currently serves on the boards of the American Heart Association Greater New Orleans, the American Red Cross Louisiana Region, and as Vice Chair of Volunteers of America Southeast Louisiana.

 

Christy earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Xavier University of Louisiana and a Master of Health Administration from Tulane University.

 

Driven by a commitment to service, equity, and community advancement, Christy continues to champion initiatives that strengthen outcomes and improve quality of life across the region.
